   南京为江苏省的政治、经济、文化中心，有着六百万人口的巨大市场消费潜力，她地处华东地区的交通枢纽，对周边省市的市场具有强劲的辐射和带动作用，历来被广大厂家和商家所重视。
    春节是中国一年中最大、最喜庆的传统节日。春节前夕，是众多单位和广大市民在忙碌了一年后消费量最大、消费最为集中的时节。从2002年春节前夕举办的“首届南京（全国）春节食品商品交易会”到2008年春节前夕举办的“第七届南京（全国）春节食品商品交易会”，都给众多单位和广大市民提供了一个集中采购春节食品的最佳场所，同时也为广大厂商提供了一个展示企业风采、销售企业产品的绝佳时机。有来自全国各地的名特优新食品、绿色食品、粮油食品、速冻食品、调味品、酒类、饮料、土特产品等一千多家企业参展。由于我们在会前做了大量的宣传、组织工作，因此，七届交易会期间，展馆内外都是气氛热烈，人潮涌动，单位团购、市民零购踊跃。火爆的销售，令众多前来购物者满载而归，令广大参展企业收到了很好的社会效益和经济效益。
    “第八届南京(全国)春节食品商品交易会”仍选择在春节前夕（1月26日春节）采购人气旺的绝佳时机举办。为了办好这一年一届的展会，组委会将进一步做好宣传、组织、策划工作，以满足广大企业、市民采购春节食品需求。为参展企业取得更好的社会效益和经济效益是我们的追求，我们将一如既往，为将“第八届南京春节食品商品交易会”办得更大、更好而不懈努力。
    Nanjing, with the population of 6 million and the huge consumption market, is the political, economic and cultural center of Jiangsu Province. It enjoys the privilege of communications in the eastern China. It has great marketing radiation functions to the cities around, which has been attached great importance to by producers and buyers for years.
    Spring Festival is the most important traditional festival in China, and it is also the most concentrating consumption season for companies and common citizens. From the 1 st Spring Festival Foodstuff Fair Nanjing, China to the 7 rd one, it has offered the best purchase site for numerous companies and citizens. Meanwhile, it has also provides chances for producers to manifest their power and productions. On each fair, more than 1000 enterprises around China take part in the exhibitions and all kinds of famous, special and new products, such as food, wines, beverages, and specialties are on display. Before each fair, we do plenty of advertisement and organization work. Thus, during the past 7 exhibitions, there have been huge crowds of citizens with fruitful results,and the producers have gained nice social and economic rewards.
    “8TH Foodstuff &Commodity Fair of National Spring Festival,Nangjing China” will still be held before the peak purchase season, (Spring Festival on Jan.26). In order to hold the exhibition successfully, the Committee will further do better publicity, organization work and plans to satisfy the demands of the producers and the citizens. For the social and economic benefits of the exhibitors and producers, we will do our endeavors as before to make it a more successful and better one.
